Our client is an innovative, market leading Software Company. They are currently in an exciting period of rapid growth, and they are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Partnership Team in their Portsmouth office. Working with marketing and sales, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and accelerate their career rapidly within the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive and develop business partnerships with a range of marketing and lead generation agencies to deliver opportunities to provide company software to their client base
  • Manage your partner portfolio effectively to build strong working relationships, identifying all mutual sales opportunities available 
  • Continuously review and manage your pipeline, ensuring all new business opportunities are handled effectively to optimise sales conversion
  • Provide continuous visibility on your progress and performance through effective reporting
  • Continuously deliver against targets and KPI’s
  • Develop solid relationships with key internal stakeholders including marketing, sales and senior management

 

Experience and Skills

  • A strong track record within sales and business development 
  • Knowledgeable in sales and marketing theory 
  • Excellent questioning, qualification and closing skills
  • The confidence and tenacity to pursue leads, overcome obstacles and secure appointments
  • Skilful objection handling techniques and ability to operate at all levels in an organisation
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
  • A self-starter, who thrives under pressure to achieve challenging goals
  • Strong communication skills, notably being able to explain value propositions to identified key decision-makers
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of MS-Office tools, principally Outlook, PPT, Word and Excel

The salary for this position is £22-24k basic (£35-40k OTE)
