Our client is an innovative technology distributor, sourcing products from around the world for 25 years. Products include LCD panels, projectors, LED displays and interactive whiteboards.

They are seeking a Business Development Manager to engage, grow and develop business with a set of reseller accounts and end users. You will be reporting to the Head of Business Sales.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate sales within the AV/IT market selling complex collaboration solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement quarterly objectives and account plans for key channel accounts to meet revenue, profit and unit sales volumes
  • Manage an opportunity pipeline that is three times your account sets revenue target, working with the account list to support both channel and end user strategy to win business
  • Report pipeline, forecast and business plan updates into Salesforce and the Head of Business Sales on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Demonstrate the company’s corporate proposition to resellers and end users to secure business and enable channel partners to be able to sell the proposition
  • Identify opportunities to leverage sales with channel partners’ via sales, product or marketing initiatives which grow and develop business
  • Introduce new products to the channel, support engagement and feedback to sales, product and marketing

 

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification
  • Strong commercial/sales skills experience
  • Previous experience in the AV/IT channel working with resellers and end customers to deploy complex collaboration technology
  • Outstanding presentation and negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a variety of audiences
  • Experience of working within the corporate market at C Level engagement
  • High level of IT literacy
  • A pro-active self-starter who is able to work on their own

 

Desirable:

  • UC&C and/or CTS qualification
  • Experience of using Salesforce CRM for pipeline management

 

This position is located in the South of England and has a basic salary of £35,000 - £40,000 (£15-£20k uncapped commission) depending on experience. A company car /allowance is on offer plus a range of benefits after 6 months of service.
